 The Senior Choir in the Church of St Mary of the Assumption, was formed in August 1999 in response to a request for singers to celebrate the re-dedication of the church.
Various parishioners were swift in their response and, with Susan Hughes as choir mistress and organist; we have now, six years later, become an integral part of making church liturgies more meaningful for all parishioners.

 Singing ranks high in most celebrations, and contributes so much to an atmosphere of festivity. Such is its purpose also for Church services and especially for the celebration of the Eucharist, enhancing not only the liturgy but the very devotion of the people.
With this in mind, the Junior Choir was formed in 2003. The members range in age from 8 18 years. New members are welcome at any time, girls or boys. The choir sings at the 12 noon Mass each Sunday. Choir practices take place each Monday in the Church - 4.15 pm - 5.15 pm.
